Hey gang! Since we’re in the middle of October I thought I’d do a fun autumn post. While I’m a forever summer person, I can’t help but love the spookiness and seasonal changes of this month. October is particularly my favorite. To celebrate this fun-filled month, I’m listing fun fall activities for the autumn season.
Enjoy the list y’all! Tell me which one’s your favorite activity!
1. Visit a haunted house
I’m too much of a scaredy cat to go through one (I can’t even watch trailors for a scary movie in the theaters lol!). Now if you’re a tough cat, I dare you to take advantage of the spookiness.
2. Go through a corn maze
Now this one I can get behind. Fun fact, a few years ago I went with a group of friends, and my friend and I cut through the rows of cornstalks off the path and stayed lost for hours. It’s not fun when you feel like there’s no ending lol! So stay on the path!
3. Throw a scary movie night
Technically you can do this anytime throughout the year, but come on! What’s a better time to watch Halloween and IT? Plus, this one is free if you have all these movies. Just grab a bunch of people, add in some snacks, and turn off all the lights.
4. Go to a costume party
And no, adding mouse ears to sexy lingerie doesn’t count as a costume. Put real effort in this! Bring back the spirit of Halloween and dress up like you mean it. Don’t have a costume party to attend? Throw your own party! Make it a contest.
5. Bake all the goodies
Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin soup, apple cider, apple pies! You see where I’m going with this. Plus, with all those extra treats, you can use them for your scary movie night or costume party. Wait! Costume scary movie party!
6. Go on a hayride
I really want to do this one this year. I haven’t gone on a hay ride in years guys! They’re so much fun, especially if it’s a haunted one.
And I’m not talking about that boring, “elegant” look with all white pumpkins and stuff. Like decorate your yard with gravestone and zombies, fill your trees with trash bag ghosts, and add the classic orange and black lights. For some reason people seem to think that’s too cheesy and want to make Halloween classy. I have a few words to say but my Chi Alpha leader is probably reading this and I don’t want her see any swear words lol!
8. Go on a hike
I have to admit, fall is such a beautiful time. Take this moment and go on a hike or nature walk and explore the gorgeous warm leaves around you. Admire the beauty of nature before it starts freezing and dying.
So what are your thoughts on this list? Anything else you’d like to add? Let me know below in the comments!
