Hey gang! Here’s a funny story for you. I’m walking towards the location for my shoots and this lady tells me “You’re as beautiful as the waterfall!” I get up close to the waterfall and it’s brown, dirty, and filled with rocks. What you trying to say lady lol! For today I’m featuring this Free People blue embroidered mini dress for a boho summer look.
Fun fact, I shot these looks myself, which explains why I can’t capture a clear focus lol! But I absolutely love these shots. I’m all about the moody/dreamy aesthetics with a story behind it.
So I bought this Free People blue embroidered mini dress during Dillard’s end of year sale, so I can only find used findings, but it’s so light and fun twirling in it. The skirts are fluffy and swirly, the silhouette is loose and unstructured, and the blue embroidery pops against the beige.
This embroidered dress is Free People, which is an uber cute boho brand, and this is my first time investing in a popular designer piece. In fact, this is one of my first bohemian dresses, like this one here, and I love the southern/embroidery style and loose skirts.
Normally I shop at small boutiques or flea markets for my outfits, like this shop here. What about you? Do you prefer small boutiques or popular designer brands?
What do you think about this look? Do you like the moody dark shots or the brighter aesthetics? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
